Monotype
(a planographic process): Monotype is a direct
process that yields a beautiful print. The design is drawn with
ink, paint, or other materials on the metal or glass plate, and the print is
taken. Since most of the ink or other drawing material generally transfers.
Planographic printing means printing from a flat surface,as opposed to a raised surface that rely on the property that water will not mix with oil.

Relief Printing:
Relief printing, in art printmaking, a process
consisting of cutting a printing surface in such a way
that all that remains of the original surface is the design to be printed.
Examples of relief-printing processes include woodcut and metal cut.
